AI Task Practice
Practice the part of office work that matters after a draft exists: identify what can be trusted, correct what can be checked, and explain what still needs a decision. This first exercise is a weekly sales summary for a small shop. It uses original handcrafted synthetic data and deterministic checks, so no model calls, account or website AI credits are needed.
Prepare a provisional weekly sales summary
You receive an eight-record CSV export and a deliberately flawed summary. One repeated transaction is a confirmed resend, one ID has conflicting amounts, and one sale belongs to the following week. Correct the accepted ledger and report only the subtotal supported by the supplied policy.
Open the weekly sales exerciseThe learning loop
- Read the brief and explicit acceptance criteria before changing values.
- Inspect the source and explain why each record belongs in, or outside, the accepted ledger.
- Correct the synthetic flawed example in the browser, or use a text editor or spreadsheet and import the edited CSV.
- Run the checks, inspect precise differences, and retry. The answer key is available for self-study; no independent-authorship claim is made.
- Download your work, feedback and a scoped completion record only when the exercise criteria pass.
What a completion record means
It records that the current submission matched the supplied exercise rules. It is not an accredited certificate, identity verification, professional assessment or evidence of employability. The exercise can be completed using its visible answer key. No participants are recruited, and no results are published.
A provisional subtotal can be arithmetically correct while the full business total remains unknown. This exercise deliberately keeps that distinction visible: conflicting records are not silently resolved, and business judgment is not scored.
AI is optional
Work through the method yourself with the provided example. You may choose an external AI tool for the synthetic data, but it is not required or connected here; any external service has its own privacy and pricing terms. The example is labeled synthetic, not attributed to an AI product. There are no model benchmarks, generated provenance or impact statistics.
The practice workspace processes your corrections locally, excludes them from the site’s translation collector, and does not upload or persist them by default. Downloads remain on your device. For your own before-and-after files, use AI Work Check. Read Verify AI output for broader review habits.
